Can my dog run on the beach in Seal Beach?

There is no dog-friendly beach in Seal Beach itself. We do have dog-friendly beaches just minutes north and south of our little town:

In Long Beach, just north of Seal Beach, Rosie’s Beach is an off-leash dog beach that is a popular spot for local dog owners. This is a small beach with calm waters, no waves, and very conveniently located near the Long Beach pier and 2nd Street. There is easy parking in the big lot.

Belmont Shore Beach in Long Beach, off of Ocean, also allows dogs on a leash during certain hours of the day.

Huntington Dog Beach: This off-leash dog beach is located by SeaCliff, off of PCH, just south of Bolsa Chica and a short drive south of Seal Beach. There is some parking in the narrow parking lots next to the beach or and there is also side street parking that is walkable to the beach. This is the most beautiful place to run your dog on the beach next to the cliffs, where you can walk long distances, watch the surfers and there are some waves for the dogs that enjoy chasing balls and sticks into the waves.

Besides dog beach in Huntington Beach, Huntington State Beach allows dogs in certain areas of this beach, located in Huntington Beach.
Please note that rules and regulations regarding dogs on beaches may vary, so be sure to check the specific requirements before visiting.
